Sol Services held a charity evening which coincided with the Tough Mudder and raised a HUGE £15,004.87 to be split between the Spinal Injuries Association and the Milton Keynes Bereavement Service.
With support from local businesses, friends and suppliers, the fundraiser, which took place on 28th April 2018 featured an authentic fun casino with 5 different game tables, a disco and auctions.
Nigel Burdett, the MD of Sol said: “We are delighted to have held a spectacular fundraising event for both of these charities. It’s such a great opportunity for people to have some fun while raising awareness for such worthy causes".
About the charities:
The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA)
Spinal Cord Injury can have a massive impact on the injured and their family.
They provide over 500 support sessions each month, either by phone or face to face to help spinal cord injured people and their families get back their lives after injury.
Milton Keynes Bereavement Service
Milton Keynes Bereavement Service has been offering bereavement support to the local community for over 35 years.
Offering emotional and practical support after a bereavement in a number of ways to anybody who requires it, regardless of age, ethnicity or faith.
They provide a safe and confidential environment where their clients can share their grief and feelings on a one-to-one basis.
