Former Aston Martin Building

This three-storey coachworks building was the oldest standing car manufacturing building in Europe, and the site of the first iconic Aston Martin DB design. A fantastic architectural treasure, steeped in local and automotive history, the site had nevertheless been dilapidated for 12 years and required significant repair and restoration work.

As the three buildings were a focal point in the town, Sol’s mission was to renovate them in a style sympathetic to their 1900s style and the needs of locals. This required specialist renovation, including sash and timberwork.

Completed in 6 months, the site was restored to its former glory and given a new lease on life, with plenty of original features restored or replicated, and the three buildings were ready to go on the market as versatile, multifunctional spaces for prospective buyers.
