Client: Health & Safety Executive

Value: £125,000

Duration: 5 Weeks

We completed refurbishment works to two office facilities for the Health & Safety Executive, used by office and field based staff. The office block was on the 2nd floor of a 3-floor multi-user facility, so access had to be carefully planned to minimise disruption to other building users.  The office was occupied during the works and we therefore phased the programme to ensure HSE staff had continued access to desk space during the works.

Internal works: Both projects involved complete re-modelling of the office layout, including demolition of glazed office partitions, ceilings and plasterboard walls, building new plasterboard and glazed offices, upgrading welfare facilities, removal and replacement of floor coverings and decoration to all areas.

M&E works: We carried out a full M&E installation including alteration of electrical circuits, fire alarms supply and extract ventilation services to suit new layout, installation of new LED lighting and electrical floorboxes and testing of new data circuits.

All works were carried out under CDM 2015, current Building Regulations and electrical testing was carried out to 17th Edition Regulations. On completion we held a handover training session with office staff to explain the new controls and provided O&M manuals.
